Nissan North America's (NNA's) Board of Directors launched its Corporate Diversity Initiative in 1998.
The initiative is now led by the U.S. Management Committee (MC-US), which consists of Vice Presidents,
Sr. Vice Presidents and Presidents of Nissan's US Affiliates. The goal of the initiative is to improve
business results by ensuring that our core businesses (Sales, Marketing and Distribution, Manufacturing,
Research & Development, Design, Procurement, and administrative support functions) meet the distinct needs
of an increasingly diverse customer base and labor market.

Letter of Commitment
At Nissan, diversity is important to our continued success. The talented men and women throughout our company
reflect many cultures and bring many varied points of view to their work. The core principles of diversity -
fairness, respect and inclusion - come naturally for a corporation that takes pride in its multicultural roots a
nd outlook.
NNA's senior management team is committed to providing an environment that leverages the unique talents of each
person, encourages a variety of ideas and opinions, and inspires team behavior and respect for individuals. We
want an environment where employees of all races, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability or ethnicity
feel their contributions are welcome and valued. We also want to nurture diversity among our dealer body and supplier
base. The richness of diversity is woven into our performance and global experience, and that richness should be
reflected in the communities where we work and live, evident to our customer base and all our stakeholders.
At Nissan, we strive to reflect the world we serve. Our senior management team supports our ongoing diversity efforts
to ensure that this commitment is upheld throughout our company. Fairness, respect and inclusion are not merely
admirable qualities - they are essential to the cross-functional teamwork that is at the heart of Nissan's performance.

Diversity Training
NNA's mandatory diversity education programs reinforce the company's commitment to diversity, while ensuring that employees
have the skills and knowledge to carry out their individual responsibilities. The program communicates the importance of
establishing a respectful work environment that maximizes the performance of every employee and enhances the company's ability
to attract and retain the best talent. The emphasis on understanding, valuing and leveraging differences is also linked to our
