Playing It Safe Has Never Been This Much Fun
Braking and traction technologies
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)[*] helps keep your cube® on the path you steered. Traction Control System (TCS) helps you maintain grip when things get slippery. For emergency braking, there's an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Brake Assist (BA). And when the back seat is full, the Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) responds to weight load, sending more force to the rear brakes.
Advanced Air Bag System (AABS)
The cube® comes with six standard air bags, including dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt sensors and an occupant-classification system. Front-seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags are built into the seats to move with you as you adjust your seat. Standard roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags help protect the outboard occupants' heads. And standard front-seat Active Head Restraints help reduce the chance of whiplash injuries by moving up and forward during certain rear-end collisions. [*]
