- Nissan is recalling previously purchased Hitch-Mounted Bike Carrier, part number 999R5-AR000 in conjunction with the supplier of our bike carrier, Thule Inc. A manufacturing defect has been found that may result in a severe hand injury. A retrofit kit must be installed to correct this issue. Contact your Nissan Consumer Affairs Department at 1-800-NISSAN1 (1-800-647-7261) to receive a retrofit kit free of charge. The kit is easy to install and requires no tools. Please do not use your bike carrier until the retrofit kit has been installed. We are indeed sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
