2016 PATHFINDER® PERFORMANCE
Go Further. Use Less Fuel.
|20/27 city/hwy MPG [*]|
|The legendary Pathfinder: rugged, capable, tough. And good on gas. To maximize fuel efficiency, the frame, drivetrain, and even the climate control system are built with lightweight components. An aerodynamic exterior and the Xtronic CVT®—our most advanced transmission ever—also cut down its consumption. All this adds up to 26 MPG on the highway. [*]|

WE BUILT IT
Up to 5,000 LBS TOWING CAPACITY [*]
The 3.5-liter V6 engine delivers seamless power with optimum fuel efficiency, so even heavy adventures are no match for the 2015 Pathfinder. The proof? It’s in the numbers: 260-hp, 240-lb-ft of torque, and up to 5,000 pound maximum towing capacity—the most standard towing in the class [*]. So whether you’re headed to the marina, hauling all your gear, or roughing it for the weekend, just hook up your boat, trailer or camper and go! [*]
Class Exclusive TAKE YOUR PICK:
2WD, 4WD OR AUTO MODE
No other SUV [*] in its class gives you the choice of 2WD, 4WD, and Auto Modes. Turn the available All-Mode 4x4i Dial, located just behind the gearshift, to lock into 4WD on rough terrain and in varying weather. Turn it again to switch into 2WD for better mileage. The intuitive Auto Mode senses slippery roads or rough terrain and automatically adjusts power to each wheel. When things smooth out, it switches back to 2WD.
What kind of transmission do you put in the Next Gen SUV? The class-exclusive, next-generation Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), obviously. Pathfinder’s CVT eliminates gears by using a precisely machined metal drive chain instead of traditional fixed metal gears, which transfers power from the engine to the wheels far more effectively and smoothly. So whatever you ask from the engine, the CVT provides it by shifting seamlessly to give you the perfect speed, all while improving fuel economy.

VIRTUAL BIRD'S-EYE VIEW OF THE SITUATION.
Around View® Monitor [*]
Using four cameras, the available class-exclusive Around View® Monitor (AVM) [*] creates a composite image of the 2016 Pathfinder from above and displays it on the touch-screen monitor. This helps visually confirm the vehicle’s position relative to the lines around parking spaces and the adjacent objects displayed on the monitor, allowing the driver to maneuver into parking spots with more ease.

Tri-Zone Entertainment System
When the kids are happy, you are happy, and that’s where the available Tri-Zone Entertainment System [*] comes in. Up front, the driver and passenger can enjoy music. 2nd-row passengers can watch movies, play video games, plug in a laptop, all on dual 7-inch DVD monitors, listening on two wireless headsets. The entire system can be controlled through the touch-screen display on the dash.
Nissan Navigation System
The 2016 Nissan Pathfinder is equipped with an available advanced Navigation System [*] that gives you all the tools you need—like turn-by-turn voice guidance, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, [*] and available SiriusXM Satellite Radio [*] —to make every trip a snap.
Advanced Drive-Assist® Display
Keep your focus on what matters most—driving. Advanced Drive-Assist® Display is a 4.2-inch color monitor sitting right in front of you in the gauge cluster. The customizable, easy-to-read screen displays front and rear power ratios, the trip computer, tire pressure, fuel economy, external temperature, and much more.
Nissan Intelligent Key®
With the available Nissan Intelligent Key®, you can unlock all four doors, open the power liftgate, and start the engine without taking the keys out of your pocket. It’s even smart enough to move the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and side-view mirrors to your pre-set positions.
Heated Steering Wheel
Old Man Winter never saw this one coming. Keep those mitts toasty even on the coldest days with an available class-exclusive heated steering wheel that warms up at the touch of a button.
Heated & Cooled Seats [*]
Leather-appointed seats are not a lot of fun on a hot day, and not much better on a cold one. Pathfinder’s seats [*] save you from stickiness by cooling down when it’s hot out, and warming up when it’s cold.
Serious About Safety
Like every Nissan vehicle, Pathfinder comes equipped with a suite of standard safety, driving, and convenience features designed to inspire confidence behind the wheel, and help make every ride better, safer, and more enjoyable.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with Easy-Fill Tire Alert
TPMS uses an icon on your dash to notify you when tires aren't properly inflated. On certain trims, the Advanced Drive-Assist® Display tells you which specific tires are low. As you fill your tires, Easy-Fill Tire Alert lets you know—with a friendly beep—when they've got enough air. [*]
Smart Auto Headlights
Available Smart Auto Headlights turn on automatically in the dark, or after four swipes if you activate your wipers. They also know to switch on if you drive into a tunnel, but are clever enough to stay off in the shade. Pretty smart for headlights. You might even say brilliant.
Around View® Monitor (AVM)
Backing-up and parking is a snap with the available AVM. Four cameras create a virtual 360° image of your Pathfinder, then display it on the LCD monitor to help you see exactly how much room you've got behind you, in front of you, and even between you and the curb. [*]
RearView Monitor and Rear Sonar System
The available RearView Monitor shows you what’s directly behind you, on the dash-mounted screen in front of you. [*] It’s paired with an available Rear Sonar system that beeps when it senses an object up to six feet away— making it easier to park and back-up. [*]
Blind Spot Warning (BSW)
Available BSW turns on a warning light if a vehicle is detected in the blind spot area, and sounds a warning tone if you signal to change lanes.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
When your Pathfinder® is in Reverse, available Rear Cross Traffic Alert [*] helps to warn you of moving vehicles approaching from either the left or the right side of the rear of your vehicle.
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) & Traction Control System (TCS)
When it detects oversteer or understeer, VDC can reduce engine power and apply brake pressure to specific wheels. Working with VDC, TCS can sense drive-wheel spin and reduce throttle to help keep you on your steered path. [*]
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
When you need to stop in a hurry, the Anti-lock Braking System pumps the brakes faster than you possibly can, helping to prevent wheel lockup and maintain steering control.
Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist
Should you ever need to hit the brakes hard, Brake Assist [*] will help you come to a quicker stop by applying maximum braking force. If you’ve got passengers or cargo in the back, EBD will detect the added weight, and send extra force to the rear brakes.
Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (AABS)
The AABS includes dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt sensors and an occupant classification sensor. Their inflation rate adjusts based on crash severity and seat belt usage. [*]
Supplemental Air Bags
Built into the front seats, two side-impact supplemental air bags move with you as you adjust your seating position. Above, roofmounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensors help provide head protection for all three rows of outboard occupants. [*]
LATCH System (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children)
LATCH is another way we're working to keep children safe. The system lets you secure LATCH-compatible child restraints without having to use seat belts or a locking clip.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System
When your tire pressure is low, an icon on your dash notifies you. On certain Pathfinder trims, the Advanced Drive-Assist® Display will tell you which specific tire is low. [*]
Easy-Fill Tire Alert
When filling your tires, Easy-Fill Tire Alert gives you a friendly beep of the horn when you’re at the right pressure.[*]
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)
Hit a slick spot in a corner and suddenly you may be going in a direction you did not intend to be going. In these situations, VDC monitors steering and braking. If needed, it responds by reducing engine output and/or applying brake pressure to specific wheels. [*]
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
In panic-braking situations, the ABS is able to pump the brakes faster than you possibly can, helping to prevent wheel lockup and allowing you to continue to steer while braking heavily.
Brake Assist/Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD)
If you need to slam on the brakes, Brake Assist [*] detects how hard you’re braking, and if it senses you are in an emergency, it helps to apply maximum braking force. The EBD system is designed to send extra force to the rear brakes when there’s extra weight in the back.
Traction Control System (TCS)
The standard TCS means you won’t be wasting power just spinning the tires. When it senses drive-wheel spin, it responds by reducing throttle or applying brake pressure to specific wheels.
