Notification requirements in California. Nissan and your Nissan Dealer place a high priority on your satisfaction with our performance. If you are not satisfied with our resolution of a warranty concern, these are the specific steps that you must follow in California when providing notice to Nissan (2023 CA AB1755, §871.24(a)-(d))

At least 30 days prior to the commencement of an action seeking civil penalties under subdivision (c) of Section 1794 of the Civil Code, you must do all of the following:

(1) Notify Nissan of your name, the accurate Vehicle Identification Number (”VIN”) of your motor vehicle, and a brief summary of the repair history and problems with your motor vehicle.

(2) Demand that Nissan repurchase or replace your motor vehicle. Minor deviations in your notice to Nissan will not disqualify you from seeking civil penalties. At the time that you submit the notice to Nissan you must have possession of your motor vehicle.

Your notice to Nissan must be in writing and must be sent either by email to customerrequests@nissan-usa.com or by certified or registered mail, return receipt requested, to:
