Check photos taken by the in-car camera when your vehicle is triggered by parking incident or to check on items left in the vehicle, if equipped with an interior camera. With Security Photos, the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam will take photos when the shock sensor is triggered from an indication of theft, vandalism, or parked collision. Receive real-time notifications and photos in the MyNISSAN app.

How do I access the dash cam recorder?

Touch the menu symbol on the Launch Bar in the vehicle infotainment screen to display the apps menu.
Touch “Dash Cam” key to display the drive recorder screen.

Adjust recording functions

Please note that all recording functions are turned off at the first start. When you turn on the “Auto Record Video” at the first time, “Parking Monitoring” and “Recording At Impact” will also be turned on at the same time. After the first activation, each items can be turned ON/OFF independently.

Auto Record Video

Allows users to turn the general recording function ON/OFF.

Record Sound

Allows users to turn the sound recording function ON/OFF (except for Record Event).

Parking Monitoring

Allows user to turn the parking monitoring function ON/OFF. If this function is ON, the vehicle will automatically start recording when the vehicle senses an impact while parked.

Recording at Impact

Allows user to turn this function ON/OFF. If this function is ON, the vehicle will automatically start recording when the vehicle senses an impact while driving or stopping.

Recording Time

Allows user to select the recording time per video from:
- 1 min
- 3 min
- 5 min

Impact Sensitivity

Allows user to select the impact threshold at which automatic recording starts.
- High
- Middle
- Low

Wi-Fi File Transfer

If this function is ON, a compatible smartphone can be connected to the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam via the vehicle's connectivity using the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam App. Files stored on the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam can be checked and downloaded using the compatible smartphone.

How do I connect my vehicle to the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app?

Please only use the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app when parked and in a safe location. To get started, log into the Intelligent Dash Cam app from inside your vehicle, using the preset vehicle network name and password below. After this initial setup, you will be prompted to create your own vehicle network name and password specific to your vehicle.

- Preset Vehicle Network Name: dvr_ssid

- Preset password: dvr_pass

How do I reset my Vehicle Network Name and Password if I changed them or forgot?

Follow these steps to reset your Vehicle Network Name and Password:

- From your vehicle’s center touchscreen display, reset all Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam settings to “Default.”

- Using the default Vehicle Network Name and Password, follow the initial setup process again to gain access to the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app.

If I reset my vehicle network name and password, will I lose my existing photos and videos?

No, a login reset will not result in the loss of any images.

Do I need a NissanConnect Services subscription to use the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app?

No, a NissanConnect Services subscription is not required to activate the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app with your vehicle. However, if you wish to have access to the security and remote photo features through your MyNISSAN app, a NissanConnect Services Subscription is required.

How long can I access photos and videos from my vehicle's Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam?

Photos and videos are accessible in your Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam until the SD card is filled to capacity. The SD card will then begin to replace old images, starting with the oldest first, with new captures from the Dash Cam.

If I download images from my Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app, where are they saved?

Please only use the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app when parked and in a safe location. When you download images from your Intelligent Dash Cam app, they will be saved to your mobile device. Images are only accessible for download while you are in the vehicle, and your vehicle’s ignition must be turned on or in “accessory mode” to complete the retrieval.

What happens to my photos if I sell my vehicle?

Images captured by your Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam will stay with the vehicle if not erased prior to sale. Please be sure to delete any photos or videos that remain on the vehicle prior to selling or otherwise transferring ownership of your vehicle to someone else.

How many photos and videos will the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam hold?

Storage capabilities are dependent on your Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam Recorder’s SD card. While Nissan vehicles come equipped with an SD card, this can be replaced by users if they would like more storage capabilities. The number of images that can be stored are also dependent on the volume and length of videos recorded to the SD card.

I can’t find a photo/video on my Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam. Why was it deleted?

Once your vehicle’s SD memory card is full, it will begin to erase the oldest images on file to replace them with new image captures. To avoid this, be sure to download images you would like to save to your mobile device.

Where do I control my Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam settings?

You can access the camera setting from the vehicle’s touchscreen display.

When I have completed a download to the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app, how do I disconnect from the in-vehicle network and reconnect to the internet?

You can disconnect from your vehicle’s Wi-Fi network in your mobile device settings by selecting your preferred Wi-Fi network to reconnect to a non-vehicle internet source. The Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app will automatically disconnect when your smartphone is moved outside of the vehicle.

How do I power off my Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam?

Navigate to “Dash Cam Recorder settings” on your vehicle’s touchscreen display to access on/off controls.

How many people can be connected to the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app at a time?

Your Nissan in-vehicle network can connect to up to four individual devices, but only one user can access the Nissan Intelligent Dash Cam app at a time.
