Nissan LEAF Q&A
IS THE NISSAN LEAF YOUR PRIMARY VEHICLE?
YES. WE CHOOSE THE LEAF AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
It’s fun to drive. It’s fast. We prefer to drive electric. The only time we use our gas car is when we have to go a really long distance or take our dog somewhere (the other car is our “dog car”).

I DO NOT HESITATE TO TAKE A DRIVE IN THE LEAF RAIN OR SHINE.
We use the LEAF as our primary car and the van for my wife's work car and when we need the capacity of the van.
WE USE THE CAR FOR WHAT WE NEED TO DO.
I don't think our use habits have changed. It has become our primary car. The PiP sits in the driveway a lot.
Personal insurance Protection
Another way to refer to a gas-powered car, a Personal insurance Protection (PiP) is the car you hold in reserve for the days when your LEAF® is already taken.
I KEPT MY ACURA FOR TRIPS > 100 MILES, BUT IT SITS IN THE GARAGE 95% OF THE TIME.
Internal Combustion Engine
A vehicle with an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) that runs on gasoline.
WE GOT THE LEAF AS OUR 3RD CAR FOR COMMUTING. I AM READY TO SELL ONE OF OUR GAS CARS
as we are more comfortable with the range. We don't see a need for the 2nd gas car.
WE HARDLY DRIVE OUR ICE ANYMORE.
Just saving it for long distance.
WHILE I CONSIDER IT MY PRIMARY VEHICLE,
my partner and I use it as our "weekend car" and leave our ICE vehicle parked all weekend.
WE NOW USE THE LEAF FOR 90% OF OUR DRIVING
& only take the remaining ICE car, on longer trips.
