SEPTEMBER 01, 2016
Fall is a season filled with traditions. Back-to-school, homecoming, the changing colors of autumn and most importantly, college football.
Among the audibles, eye black and hash marks, another tradition is set to return this September, the Nissan Heisman House. As it does every year the Heisman House begins with one question: what if past Heisman trophy winners all lived under one roof?
Will old rivalries be put aside? How deep do the colors of some of the greatest collegiate football players of all-time run?
Watch Welcome to My House for a look at who is in the house this year.
The Heisman House kicks off August 30th and runs through to the national championship at the end of the season.
Nissan's long-running sponsorship of the Heisman Trophy and the good-natured ribbing of the Heisman House isn’t all about longstanding rivalries. It is also about Nissan’s support of the Heisman Trusts’ mission to support underprivileged youth and amateur athletes. This mission aligns with Nissan’s goal of fostering healthy, happy American communities. In fact, a number of past Heisman winners have already joined Nissan in support of its ongoing Habitat for Humanity efforts.
Do you want to help select this year’s Heisman Trophy winner?
Heisman Vote 2016: Presented by Nissan lets the fans cast their ballot for the most outstanding player in college football. The big rule to note is that you can only vote once per day.
Also returning this year is the touring edition of the Nissan Heisman House hosted by ESPN personality Neil Everett.
Nissan and ESPN invite fans to "Get to know the Heisman Winners" during a pre-game experience that celebrates college football's most outstanding players.
This free interactive event is set to visit 10 games across the country. The tour allows local fans to win prizes and meet former Heisman winners and famous school alumni.
