Now is the time to get the Nissan you want free from new tariffs
A new Federal automotive tariff of 25% on all imported vehicles came into effect in the United States on April 3rd. All Nissan vehicles that were in stock or had arrived in port as of April 3, are not affected by the new Federal tariffs. Additionally a new tariff on foreign-made automobile parts will start collection on May 3. Buyers looking to get behind the wheel of a new Nissan without these new tariffs have three options available to them to avoid the expected additional costs that these tariffs will create.

All Nissan vehicles that were on dealer lots, or had already arrived in port, prior to the April 3 implementation of these new Federal tariffs are not affected by them. This creates opportunity for buyers who purchase this inventory to avoid paying these new tariffs.
Customers looking to purchase a Crossover or SUV that is currently free of new tariffs can consider the 2025 Nissan Rogue and the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder, two of Nissan’s most popular models, which recently unveiled new lower MSRPs [[148]].
Select a model assembled in the USA and less affected by the new tariffs
Nissan currently assembles several vehicles in the U.S. with domestic and imported parts. These 2025 Nissan models will only be affected by new tariffs on the percentage of their imported parts and is scheduled to go into effect on May, 3.
Purchasing a Nissan Altima, Frontier, Murano, Pathfinder and certain Rogue models also helps to support the more than 15,000 employees who work at Nissan’s U.S. assembly plants in Canton, Mississippi and Smyrna and Decherd, Tennessee.

Nissan inventory impacted by new tariffs
All Nissan vehicles that were in stock, or had arrived in Port, before April 3 (“Pre-existing Vehicle Inventory”) are not subject to any of the new Federal tariffs now affecting imported automobiles and automotive parts. The MSRP for these Pre-existing Vehicle Inventory will remain unchanged. So, get them while supplies last. Contact your local Nissan dealership now if you want to avoid these new tariffs.
New vehicles arriving on or after April 3, 2025 – Sentra, Versa, Kicks, LEAF, Armada, ARIYA, ~30% of Rogue models assembled outside of the U.S., the Nissan Z and the GT-R - will face additional new tariffs.
Vehicles that are assembled in the United States will be exempt from the new 25% tariff on imported automobiles and may only be affected by new tariffs imposed on the imported parts in the vehicle.
