Nissan North America is committed to diversity, inclusion and equality. This commitment isn’t reserved just to our workplace and facilities, but extends to the world as a whole.
Nissan’s commitment to the LGBTQ community starts with its own employees. The company strives to ensure internal policies and benefit packages that are inclusive of everyone. Our corporate non-discrimination policies are inclusive of gender expression & identity, and are included under the same umbrella that protects against discrimination based on age, race, religion, disability and sexual orientation.
We are also very proud of our Gay Straight Alliance at Nissan, an internal organization that works to help build a respectful, inclusive and supportive work environment for all Nissan employees, vendor partners and customers. We also work closely with organizations like Out & Equal and The Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce to foster the same kind of environment in the rest of the community.
And we take pride in supporting and celebrating with local LGBTQ communities throughout the U.S. This year alone, Nissan plans to sponsor 28 Pride & LGBTQ community events in the U.S., plus Tokyo Rainbow Pride – more than any automotive brand in the country.
