Nissan USA Partners of Progress

Nissan North America is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equality. This commitment isn’t reserved just to our workplace and facilities, but extends to the world as a whole.

For the past five years we’ve received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index. Another perfect score for 2018 earns us a spot on the list of the best corporations in America for LGBTQ Equality again.

In 2016, Nissan North America updated its corporate policies to include gender expression and identity under the same umbrella that protects against discrimination based on age, race, religion, disability and sexual orientation. In 2014, Nissan changed its benefits to help cover the medical costs associated with gender reassignment.

We are also very proud of our Gay Straight Alliance—an internal organization created in 2013 that works to help build a respectful, inclusive and supportive work environment for all Nissan employees, vendor partners, and customers. We also work closely with organizations like Out & Equal and The Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce to foster the same kind of environment in the rest of the community.
