DOES Z HAVE A TURBO ENGINE?

Yes. Z is powered by a twin-turbo, 3.0-liter V6 — the most powerful engine ever in a Z.
  • 400 twin-turbocharged horsepower for instant power and relentless pull[1]
  • 350 lb-ft of torque starting from 1,600 to 5,200 rpm[1]
  • Direct gas injection

6-speed manual with SynchroRev Match® Matches engine rpm for every shift. The result — the chassis stays balanced, especially in turns. Beefy synchros in 1st and 2nd gear give a more-defined, positive shift, while an EXEDY® high-performance clutch helps give a more-positive engagement.
9-speed automatic with Downshift Rev Matching Serving up rapid-fire shifts as you like them. Downshift Rev Matching sets you up for that next move. In manual mode, you can control Z with available paddle shifters taken from our GT-R® supercar, making it an automatic that tempts even the most fervent manual fans.[2]

Yes. Z has a 6-speed manual transmission. A 9-speed automatic transmission is also available.

FIRST-EVER Z LAUNCH CONTROL

For the first time on a Z, launch control holds the engine at the optimal rpm and modulates power as you accelerate for the most consistent, jaw-dropping acceleration times possible.[1] Enhancing your drive, no-lift shift lets you keep your foot on the accelerator for quicker shifts and helps keep the engine at peak power.

SHIFT INDICATOR & SEAT CUTOUTS

Every part of Z works together to give you a thrilling drive. The Sport Mode Display flashes as you approach the redline to alert you to shift. The driver’s seat features cutouts for your legs and arms, allowing you the freedom to work the pedals, steer, and shift.[2]

    Mechanical Limited-slip Differential An available mechanical limited-slip differential doles out those 400 horses to the rear wheels, helping give you maximum traction and letting you power out of corners.[1]

    Suspension Whether it’s a bump in the road or the quick turn of the steering wheel, Z is designed to respond with monotube shocks that provide enhanced dampening. Lightweight suspension components, precise front suspension geometry, and rear suspension tuning help you place Z where you want it on the road.
    Wheels and Tires Turn the wheel, and you’ll feel Z push you deep into the seat bolsters, thanks to the available, massive 19" RAYS® super-lightweight forged-alloy wheels with wider front tires and high-performance design tires at all four corners.

    Body Stiffness The stiffer the chassis, the better the suspension can work. Torsional rigidity, including a stiff rear hatch and body, helps give a more solid feel.

    ELECTRIC-ASSIST POWER STEERING

    With electric power assist, Z’s rack-and-pinion steering has just the right amount of heft to give you precise feedback when driving enthusiastically. Around town, it adds a boost to make maneuvering and parking easy.

    PERFORMANCE BRAKES

    Great power deserves great brakes. The available Akebono® Performance Brakes feature 14" front rotors with 4-piston calipers and 13.8" rear rotors with 2-piston calipers.
