Saddle up to 400 horsepower[4]
WHAT KIND OF ENGINE DOES ARMADA HAVE?
To Armada, towing is second nature. That’s because the key ingredients come standard — a 5.6-liter, 400-horsepower, DOHC, 32-valve V8 engine and Intelligent 4x4 4-wheel drive. Just add a family-friendly trailer, magnificent boat, or custom horse trailer, and mix in Armada’s massive low-end torque for passing muscle, and you’ve got the recipe for adventure.[3, 5]

WHAT ARE ARMADA’S ENGINE SPECS?

  • Standard 5.6-liter DOHC 32-valve V8 engine with Direct Injection and Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL™)
  • 400 horsepower[4]
  • Up to 8,500 lbs. of maximum towing[6]

HOW MUCH CAN ARMADA TOW?
Armada can tow up to 8,500 lbs., so go ahead and bring more, do more, and plan bigger.[6]
Auto-leveling Rear Suspension By automatically adjusting pressure in the rear suspension air bags, your Armada maintains an optimum ride height. Trailer sway is reduced. Suspension bounce is minimized. More important, your trailer remains level with your vehicle, eliminating rear-end sagging.
Trailer Brake Controller It used to be slowing down with a heavy trailer attached was a more complicated affair. Then things got advanced. Nowadays you can use an available Trailer Brake Controller to match the trailer’s braking performance with your load for smoother and more confident braking.[1, 3]
Trailer Sway Control If things start to go sideways, available Trailer Sway Control can help restore stability. The system automatically applies vehicle and trailer brake pressure to help steady your trailer for more predictable handling.[1, 3]
Asphalt not required
DOES ARMADA HAVE 4X4 CAPABILITY?
Armada features available Intelligent 4x4 with 2-speed transfer case. And because nature isn’t going to cut you any slack, you’ve got four drive modes that help you adapt to your environment. Just turn the dial and head out. Your instincts will guide the way.[1, 5]
Auto The easy way to enjoy near-perfect balance in most driving situations. Auto Mode lets you operate in 2WD for better fuel economy,[7] switching to 4WD when the system detects wheel slippage.[1]
4HI When off-road driving gets challenging — loose gravel and packed sand — 4HI helps give you that added traction to keep going.[1]
4LO Applies more torque to the grip you already have for maximum capability. This is for those social media moments when no rock seems too steep, no mud pit too deep.[1]
Snow The magic button that will help your Armada adapt to snow, icy, and wet road surfaces. Press it and engine output is adjusted to minimize wheel spin. Standard on 2WD and 4WD.
ADDITIONAL ADVANCED OFF-ROAD TECH
Active Brake Limited Slip Sometimes the terrain works against you. In those situations, Active Brake Limited Slip can sense wheel spin and apply braking pressure to the slipping wheel, redirecting power to the wheels that need it most. So you keep making progress without losing ground.
Hill Start Assist When you’re starting from a stop on an incline, hill start assist applies brake pressure for a few moments after you release the brake pedal to help prevent any roll back before moving forward. This technology can help you feel secure to carry out a more successful hill start.
This is how adventures are built
RUGGED CONSTRUCTION
Body-on-Frame Strength and durability come easy for Armada. By separating the body from the fully boxed, full-length frame and reinforcing key areas for increased lateral rigidity, the Armada can handle towing and off-roading situations with confidence and composure.[3]
360° lookout
INTELLIGENT AROUND VIEW® MONITOR
Keep watch with a composite bird’s-eye view of your vehicle. The highly capable 2023 Nissan Armada has the ability to view the surroundings from different perspectives, making it especially skilled in certain maneuvers.
Like rock climbing when one of the only things preventing you from hitting a boulder is a combination front and side view. Or hitching up a trailer by yourself with a reverse view. Take it from a lookout that can see all around.[1, 2, 8]
Front & Side View (Off-roading)
Watch ahead and beside your wheels for obstacles.
180° Rear wide view (Picking up a trailer)
Back up or line up a trailer like a pro.
