Dream big, go big

STANDARD 400-HORSEPOWER V8 ENGINE

To Armada, towing is second nature with a standard 5.6-liter, 400-horsepower, DOHC, 32-valve V8 engine and an available Intelligent 4x4 with a 2-speed transfer case. Just add a family-friendly trailer, magnificent boat, or custom horse trailer, and mix in Armada’s massive low-end torque for passing muscle, and you’ve got the recipe for adventure.[4, 5, 6]

CAPABILITY/PERFORMANCE SPECS

  • Standard 5.6-liter DOHC 32-valve V8 engine with Direct Injection and Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL™)
  • 400 horsepower[5]
  • Up to 8,500 lbs. of maximum towing[7]
  • 413 lb-ft of torque[5]
  • 7-speed automatic transmission with Downshift Rev Matching

TOWING CAPABILITY

Armada can tow up to 8,500 lbs., so go ahead and bring more, do more, and plan bigger.[7]
Auto-leveling Rear Suspension By automatically adjusting the pressure in the rear suspension air bags, your Armada maintains an optimum ride height. Trailer sway is reduced. Suspension bounce is minimized. And more importantly, your trailer remains level with your vehicle, eliminating rear-end sagging.
Trailer Brake Controller It used to be that slowing down with a heavy trailer attached was a more complicated affair. Then things got advanced. Nowadays, you can use the Trailer Brake Controller to match the trailer’s braking performance with your load for smoother and more confident braking.[4]
Trailer Sway Control If things start to go sideways, Trailer Sway Control can help restore stability. The system automatically applies vehicle and trailer brake pressure to help steady your trailer for more predictable handling.[4]

    Tough roads? Challenge accepted

    AVAILABLE INTELLIGENT 4X4

Armada features an available Intelligent 4x4 system with a 2-speed transfer case. And because nature isn’t going to cut you any slack, you’ve got four Drive Modes that help you adapt to your environment. Just turn the dial, and brace yourself for adventure.[2, 6]
Auto This is the easy way to enjoy near-perfect balance in most driving situations. Auto Mode lets you operate in 2WD for better fuel economy and switches to 4WD when the system detects wheel slippage.[2, 8]

4HI When off-road driving gets challenging, such as moving over loose gravel or packed sand, 4HI helps give you added traction to keep going.[2]
4LO Apply more torque to the grip you already have for maximum capability. This Drive Mode is for those social media moments when no rock seems too steep and no mud pit seems too deep.[2]

Snow This magic button helps your Armada adapt to snowy, icy, and wet road surfaces. Press it, and the engine output is adjusted to minimize wheel spin. Snow Mode is standard on 2WD and 4WD.

      ADDITIONAL ADVANCED OFF-ROAD TECH

Active Brake Limited Slip Sometimes the terrain works against you. In those situations, Active Brake Limited Slip can sense wheel spin and apply braking pressure to the slipping wheel, redirecting power to the wheels that need it most. So you can keep making progress without losing ground.
Hill Start Assist When you’re starting from a stop on an incline, hill start assist applies brake pressure for a few moments after you release the brake pedal to help prevent any rollback before moving forward. This technology can help you feel secure in carrying out a more successful hill start.

      Real ruggedness for real adventures

      RUGGED CONSTRUCTION

Body-on-Frame Strength and durability come easily for Armada. By separating the body from the fully boxed, full-length frame and reinforcing key areas for increased lateral rigidity, Armada can help you handle towing and off-roading situations with confidence and composure.[4]
