Intelligent Around View® Monitor with Off-Road Mode When it’s a narrow squeeze, shift to 4LO and this available camera system activates. You get multiple views, including a straight-down side view, so you can pick your way through with ease and conquer rock gardens like a pro.[7]
Hill Descent Control When you’ve made it to the top and you’re facing the way back down, available hill descent control is your ally. In 4WD, just push the button, ease your foot from the accelerator, and it automatically maintains speed and brake pressure to help provide a controlled descent.
Hill Start Assist It’s a standing start on a steep incline, but relax. Hill start assist helps keep you from rolling backward. It holds brake pressure for a few seconds, giving you time to switch from the brake pedal to the accelerator.

PRO-4X and PRO-X® — our gift to off-roaders

Frontier is available in two off-road flavors: the 4x4 PRO-4X and the 4x2 PRO-X. Both are loaded with dirt-worthy features and are ready for the dirt.

The Frontier 4x2 PRO-X is trail-ready and includes Bilstein® off-road shocks, all-terrain tires, overfenders, and Lava Red-painted tow hooks. Or make an even stronger statement with the 4x4 PRO-4X with added underbody skid plates, an electronic locking rear differential, and off-road gauges.
