How do you charge the 2019 Nissan LEAF?

There are a lot of different of ways to charge your 2019 Nissan LEAF.

Public Charging: When you're on the go, you can get a Level 2 charge or DC Quick charge at one of thousands of public EV charging stations. [[153]]

Home Charging: At home, you can use a dedicated wall charger or the available 240V charging cable that uses the same plug as a conventional clothes dryer. [[3]][[4]]

Emergency Charging: When you're in a pinch, you can even use a 120V plug for a trickle charge. [[150]]

How to charge a Nissan LEAF:

  1. Place the vehicle in park and place the power switch in the OFF position.
  2. Open the charge port lid and charge port cap.
  3. Connect the charge connector to the charge port. If it is connected normally, a beep will sound once.
  4. When the LEAF reaches full charge, it will stop the charging on its own. To end charging before it is fully charged, remove the charge connector following the charger instructions.
