Nissan safety recall & service info
Using your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), you can quickly establish if there are any recalls specific to your Nissan.
Distracted drivers. Distracted pedestrians. Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection is here to help. []
CHECK IT TWICE
Blind Spot Warning is like an extra set of eyes over your shoulder and can give you a heads-up. []
SAVE YOUR BUMPER
Rear Automatic Braking can help you brake when it detects stationary objects directly behind you. []
Nissan Safety Shield® 360
Surround yourself with confidence
Imagine being surrounded by confidence on every drive. Nissan Safety Shield 360 includes features that monitor in front of you, behind you, and on either side to help keep you safe. [] The following features are standard on Rogue Sport.
Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
This advanced driver assist feature monitors the speed and distance between your Rogue Sport and the car ahead, and can let you know if you need to slow down. Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection can also automatically engage the brakes to help avoid a frontal collision or lessen the severity of an impact. [] And when it detects a pedestrian in the crosswalk, it can stop you in your tracks.
Rear Automatic Braking
Save your bumper. Rogue Sport with Rear Automatic Braking watches out directly behind you for stationary items you might not see. [] If it detects something and you fail to stop, it can automatically engage the brakes to help avoid a rear collision or lessen the severity of an impact.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Fear no parking lot. Rear Cross Traffic Alert watches around the rear of your Rogue Sport, and can warn you about cars it detects creeping up on you from either side. []
Blind Spot Warning
Wait. Was that a car over there? Rogue Sport with Blind Spot Warning keeps an eye on the blind spot area and gives you an audio and visual alert if it detects a vehicle hiding there. []
Lane Departure Warning
Hold it right there. Lane Departure Warning helps make sure you change lanes only when you mean to. [] If the system detects that you’re drifting over, it’ll warn you.
High Beam Assist
High Beam Assist can automatically deactivate Rogue Sport’s high beams if it detects an oncoming vehicle, which automatically makes you a more polite driver. After the driver has passed, the system can reactivate the high beams.
Nissan takes a comprehensive approach to safety that guides the engineering and development of every car we make. It helps keep an eye on your vehicle’s systems, assists you in handling unexpected situations and helps to protect you in the unfortunate event of an accident.

Advanced Air Bag System
The Nissan Advanced Air Bag System includes dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt and occupant-classification sensors. Also included are driver and front-passenger knee-mounted air bags, front and rear seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags, and roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensor. []
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with Easy-Fill Tire Alert
TPMS lets you know whenever a tire gets low and provides a read-out of each tire’s individual pressure. [] Easy-Fill Tire Alert takes the guesswork out of filling your tires with a beep of the horn when you’ve reached the correct pressure. []
Advanced Braking System
Rogue Sport’s Anti-lock Braking System can help you maintain control by preventing wheel lockup, which in turn allows you to steer around obstacles in your path. Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) sends extra force to the rear brakes when you have additional weight in the vehicle, while Brake Assist helps apply maximum force if it detects a hard braking situation. []
In slick road conditions, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) monitors steering and braking, and responds by reducing engine output and/or applying brake pressure to specific wheels. [] The Traction Control System (TCS) means you won’t be spinning the tires. When it senses drive-wheel spin, it responds by reducing throttle or applying brake pressure to specific wheels.
LATCH and Snug Kids
The LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) System lets you secure compatible child restraints in the back seat without a seat belt or locking clip. Nissan’s Snug Kids® is our Child Safety Seat Fit Program.
Zone Body Construction
This advanced body construction combines impact-absorbing structures with a high-strength cabin, which helps provide protection for you and your passengers.
