A world’s first in any production car, SynchroRev Match monitors the 6-speed manual’s clutch, shift lever, and vehicle speed. As you shift to a lower gear, the system “blips” the throttle to the ideal engine rpm for a supremely smooth downshift.

No detail was overlooked. The 6-speed manual's shift knob features thicker padding front and rear for comfort, while the sides feature less padding for better feel and precision when navigating through the gears.

55/45 Weight distribution
Instead of the traditional 50/50 split, Nissan engineers determined that a 55 front/45 rear static ratio is ideal for the Z. At the precise moment the driver accelerates out of a corner’s apex, the weight distribution shifts rearward and becomes an approximate 50/50 balance, translating into enhanced tire contact for better acceleration, quicker turns, and a handling feel that’s uniquely Nissan Z.
